Thirsty Thursday goes non alcoholic

8 Oct

For the past two weeks I’ve shared with you a couple of my favorite alcoholic beverages, but I figured before you all thought I had a drinking problem I would share something without any booze.

Keurig B70 Platinum Brewer 4964500702

By far the best small appliance we have is our Keurig coffee maker! I was a little hesitant to spend $170 at first, but I eventually came around with a little coaxing from Bill. These days I’m not much of a coffee drinker, but I do enjoy tea and when the weather is cold hot chocolate. We went all out for the Platinum model mainly because it has an iced tea mode which is great for me.

With several hundred different varieties of coffee, tea and hot chocolate, there’s something for everyone. I was happy to see that they have Twining’s teas, my absolute favorite. There’s even a pretty good organic selection if that’s what you’re in to.

When we were looking to buy our Keurig, I was a little afraid of how much it was going to cost us to use it. At $9.99 for a box of 18, we’d be spending a small fortune on coffee. I also wasn’t too crazy about the selection of coffees I saw at places like Bed Bath & Beyond. I was relieved to see that by ordering right from I could get bigger boxes and have a much larger selection to choose from. Extra bonus, the Keurig Coffee Club. With perks like 10%-15% off, free shipping, free samples and earning points for discount coffee makers, I’d be nuts to buy my coffee anywhere else. Another way to save with your Keurig is to buy a K Cup. It’s a reusable filter that you can use with your own coffee.

When you do decide to get your own Keurig coffee maker, head to Bed Bath & Beyond with one of those 20% off coupons we all get in our mailbox every other day.
