Finding the balance.

6 Dec

Ever since Cameron started school I’ve been having a hard time getting it all done. I thought it would be easier having the extra 2 1/2 hours two days a week, but so far nothing has gotten any easier. In fact, my house has gotten a lot messier since Cameron started school. I will admit, there has been one good thing to come of these extra hours I have sans 3 year old, I get to the Y at least two days a week now.

The routine is pretty simple; drop Cameron off at school, and head across town to the Y. Once at the Y I have to sign Logan into babysitting, which usually involves him throwing himself to the floor crying and me running out of the room as fast as I can. He used to love it there, now he has separation anxiety. I only get about 30 minutes to workout before I have to get Logan and race home to shower and get Cameron picked up.

Once we all get home, it’s lunches and naps and before I know it it’s dinner time. I really don’t know where my days go anymore. Meanwhile, the mess piles up all over my house. Ok, I could skip going to the Y and go home to get stuff done, but then when would I ever have time to workout? Not only has my house suffered, but so has my blog. I just can’t seem to find the time in my day to get it done, which is why you’ve been seeing such sporadic posting.

So here’s my mission should I choose to accept it…Find some balance in my new routine. I’ve taken the first step, I finally got my office back in order so I can actually sit at my desk to work. Next, I have to try and find a way to be more productive, even if it means doing a little more on the weekends or taping General Hospital to watch after the boys are in bed. Yes, I watch General Hospital! Don’t judge me, it’s my hour a day away from it all! Tomorrow is a new day, and the perfect opportunity to start a new way.

Have a Super Sunday!!
