Wireless Wednesday marks the spot!

30 Dec

It’s no big surprise to anyone out there that I am in love with my iPhone. What don’t I like about it is AT&T. While I’m sure their service is wonderful in some areas, I am not fortunate enough to live in one of those areas. The amount of dropped calls and gaps in service I experience on a daily basis is maddening. Well finally there’s an app for that. AT&T has been kind enough to create an app to help us make them aware of any service issues we might be having.

Appropriately named, Mark The Spot, this app will allow you to send a message to AT&T to report an issue with your service. One of the best parts about this app is that it uses GPS so AT&T will know exactly where you are having a problem. Use Mark The Sport to report issues such as; dropped calls, failed calls, no coverage, data failure, or poor voice quality. You also can let AT&T know if this problem occurred once, seldom, often, or always, beyond that you can add any additional info you might need.

I drop a lot of my calls when I’m driving and I’m sure it goes without saying that you should not use this app while you are driving. You can pull up a map and scroll to the location where the issue happened, so you don’t have to worry about crashing your car to report a dropped call. After you have submitted your issue, you will get a text message confirming your submission.

While I’m not sure if AT&T will use the information we send them to improve their service, I am at least hopeful. This app is FREE, so I highly recommend everyone downloading it so we can all work together to make AT&T as good as they should be.

Happy Hump Day!
