Proceed with caution!

First and foremost let me start by saying this post is NOT for men. If you are a woman who does not have children but might want them someday, you should probably skip this post too.

You’ve been warned…

While I have lost all the weight I gained while pregnant with Logan, and am 2 little pounds away from my pre Cameron size, there is one thing I can’t seem to get rid of. My stomach looks like a shar pei. I have a 6 inch area around my belly button that is a wrinkled mess. It’s nasty, it’s loose, it’s wrinkly and it’s the reason I will go yet another summer without a bikini.

Every other part of my body is the body of a 30 year old except for my stomach. My stomach is more like the stomach of a 90 year old. No amount of crunches seem to help. In fact, it seems like the more weight I lose, the worse it gets.

Isn’t it hard enough to feel sexy once you’re a mom without having to worry about a wrinkly midsection? It just doesn’t seem fair after carrying and giving birth to two kids, averaging about 8 pounds each, that I should have to suffer with this extra skin option. It seems more like I should be rewarded for my efforts by getting some resemblance of my old body back.

This might sound dumb, but are these wrinkles stretch marks? They seem more like loose skin. So if they’re not stretch marks, I guess stretch mark cream isn’t going to help them, right? So what is there that I can do to get rid of this granny skin?

Is your post pregnancy belly the belly of a 90 year old woman? What are you doing about it, or have you given up on ever wearing a bikini again?

I thought about posting pictures, but I didn’t want to blind anyone or force the reappearance of a meal.
