Stomach bug, a great way to shed some weight.

A few weeks ago I got this 48 hour stomach bug, complements of my children. I spent the better part of two days stuck in bed, not eating anything more than a few crackers. When I was finally feeling better I had dropped a few pounds. Besides the weight loss, I didn’t get my usual appetite back once I was feeling better.

It was great, I wasn’t eating nearly the volume of food I was before the bug hit. I knew in the back of my head that as soon as my appetite came back, this great diet would come to an end. After two weeks, it was still taking less food to keep me full and happy. The pounds were still coming off, putting me within reach of my goal weight.

And then the other shoe dropped…My appetite came back full force. The past few days have been awful, all I want to do is eat. It’s like my body is trying to make up for lost time. Slowly but surely, I can feel those pounds creeping back. I knew it wouldn’t last, but a girl can hope right?

So I guess a stomach bug as a weight loss program isn’t really the best idea in the long term. Really, I always knew that, but like I said, a girl can hope right?
