Neutrogena Sunblock Review Pt.1

Imagine my excitement when I was given the opportunity to try a new product. Sure, I give unsolicited reviews a lot, but to have someone actually interested in what I have to say is something kind of new to me.

I skipped out to the mailbox one day last week to find a padded envelope with my name on it…For me? Some goodies? YAY!

Upon savagely ripping the envelope to shreds to get to it’s contents, I pulled out two small bottles of Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid Sunblock with SPF 70. I immediately opened one of the packages to investigate further. I was really surprised when I took the cap off and found something more like an eye drop bottle than a bottle of sunblock.

I gave it the sniff test…Mmmmm, I like it! It smells amazing, nothing like the sunblock I usually use. I would definitely be able to wear this without the whole world knowing I’m wearing sunblock, a huge perk.

I didn’t want to wait to give it a try, so I rubbed a little on my arm. It was love at first slather. It wasn’t greasy like most other sunblocks and it rubbed it quickly and left my skin super soft.

OK, I’m a keep it simple kind of girl, so the thought of adding another step to my daily routine didn’t really appeal to me very much. The face lotion I use under my makeup has SPF, so I thought it was overkill to use both and thought I would replace my face lotion with the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid Sunblock.

The first time I put it on my face it burned. Uh oh! I watched my face looking for the rash that was sure to follow a burn of that magnitude. Luckily, since I had to work that evening, it never came. I’ve been using it everyday for about a week and it doesn’t burn at all anymore, so I’m wondering if there was just something new that my skin needed to get used to.

I spent a lot of time in the sun over the weekend while wearing my Neutrogena sunblock, you would never really know I was even outside. I LOVE this stuff. I am very fair skinned and burn extremely easily, but not anymore. Not only did it leave my skin unburned and looking good, it left it feeling good too. As soon as I put it on, my skin feels like satin.
