Tasty Tuesday…Pass the pork pig!

7 Sep

My favorite time of year for cooking is the fall and winter. I love the slow cooked classics, and comforting casseroles. I’m perfectly content to let hubby grill all summer long since I never feel like cooking when it’s hot out anyway.

Ok, I can be perfectly honest, I also like making the slow cooker meals because they’re so easy. I’m sure if I let Cameron have a try, even he could come up with a tasty meal. It doesn’t get much easier than tossing some things in a pot and letting them sit all day.
For today’s recipe, all you need to do is throw together a few sides and you have a great meal with only minutes of your time and attention needed. Today’s recipe is brought to you by SparkPeople. It’s what’s for dinner tonight.
Pork Roast
What you will need:
1 Pork Roast
3 Cups V8 juice (original) – 2 cans is exactly 3 cups
1 clove of garlic
1 Medium Onion
3 Teaspoons black pepper
1 Teaspoon salt
Directions:
Put roast in slow cooker, add V8 juice, put onion and garlic on top, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
*Instead of a slow cooker, I use the simmer option on my stove and cook in a giant pot.
If only the internet had a smell option, my house smells SOOOOOO good right now. Give this recipe a try and let me know what you think here or at MyLifeInMommyland@me.com.
