Tupperware Product Spotlight: Volume 2.0

8 Dec

I picked this week’s product because it’s perfect for entertaining. With the holiday’s in full swing, I’m sure most of you will be going to parties, and some of you might even be hosting a few. I hosted 17 for Thanksgiving and the Serving Center Set was an huge help in a stress free party for me.

The possibilities for the Serving Center Set range from appetizers, right through to desserts. For my Turkey Day event, I used it for a fruit tray at dessert. I was able to prepare my tray that morning and store it in the fridge until dessert, can’t get much fresher than that. Had I gone to my local grocery store I would have paid anything from $20-$35 for a fruit tray. With the store bought tray I wouldn’t have been able to select the kind of fruit I wanted and it wouldn’t have even come with the delicious dip I am so fond of. It also looks a lot nicer than those tacky black plastic trays.

As you can see in the photo above, it works great for a cheese, olive and cracker tray. The Serving Center Set is obviously awesome for veggies trays too, it’s really only limited to your imagination.

One of my favorite features about the Serving Center Set is the removable dip bowl. The bowl has it’s own seal, so your dips stay fresh and yummy. The bowl (not the seal) is also microwavable, for reheating warm dips. I had some leftover fruit dip, so I just popped it out of the Serving Center, slapped the seal on and tossed it in the fridge for later. It’s much better than having to scrape leftovers out of a tray into something else, or even worse, throwing them away.

Another nifty little feature of the Serving Center Set is the cover. Need to bring a veggie tray to a party? Not a problem, make it up, put the cover on and it’s ready to travel to Grandma’s house. It’s very sturdy, so no need to worry about it collapsing or falling off along the way. Or, you can cover your tray and leave it in the fridge until party time, and don’t worry about stacking stuff on top to make room, it can handle it. Oh, and this cover it’s just for covering. Need to keep your veggie tray cold while at the party? Fill the cover with ice and place the Serving Center on top. Now your veggies will stay cool and fresh for hours.

*As a small side note, please ignore the messy kitchen in the background.

We all know how much I LOVE to save money, and in this economy stretching a dime has gotten more important than ever. I kind of hinted at it before, but the Serving Center Set is going to save you money on those store bought trays. I spent a fraction of what I would have spent had I gone to my local grocer for my Thanksgiving tray. For an investment of $39.50 (+ tax & shipping), you can save a fortune on the various trays you would buy at the store for entertaining and you’ll have much greater control over what goes into your trays. You’ll have a nice way to store and serve at your parties too. I say investment since Tupperware products come with a lifetime guarantee, buy it now, use it forever. Who knows, maybe your grandchildren will be using your Serving Center Set someday.
