A Week In Mommyland (Week 43)

28 Oct

Monday.

Mommyland

Bill got this really cool Apple sweatshirt online but when it came in it seemed to fit me better than it fit him. Oh DAMN! It’s a little big on me but it keeps me warm while I’m cursing around the house.

Hey, it’s about time I get some Apple gear of my own.

Tuesday.

Mommyland

I came home from work on Tuesday night to find technology all over my kitchen. What? Most normal people DON’T have TV’s on their kitchen island?

I let it slide since he was getting ready for a big event for his new company the next day. I just grabbed my milk and went up to bed. Outta sight, outta mind!

Wednesday.

Mommyland

I just LOVE the stuff that Logan comes home from school with. He didn’t want to wear his spider hat so I wore it for him…And I think I wore it well.

Thursday.

Mommyland

I generally eat the same thing for breakfast every morning, honey nut Cheerios with milk and chia seeds on top. A couple of weeks ago I joined the 30 Days of Fit Foods Challenge and this bad boy was one of the breakfast options.

That’s a high fiber English muffin, one egg, a slice of bacon and some cheese and it’s all under 300 calories. This bad boy leaves me feeling full and ready to take on the day. It only takes about a minute to make and is MUCH tastier than it’s fast food counterpart.

I’ve been eating the same thing for so long that it’s been nice to switch it up a little bit.

Friday.

Mommyland

We don’t usually take the kids out to dinner on Friday, it’s usually Pizza Friday at home but we made an exception this week. I absolutely LOVE The Market at Liberty Place. Casual atmosphere, great food and friendly people. Friday nights there are wine specials and live music, what’s not to love?

I can’t wait for the ice cream place to open in there so it’ll be a one stop shop for our Friday night needs.

Saturday.

Mommyland

Saturday night we had double the fun. We got to see our Penn State Nittany Lions play some ice hokey and we also got to see my little nephew skate on the ice at the Wells Fargo Center.

The boys had so much fun and Cameron even said he wants to learn how to skate and play ice hockey.

Penn State lost but it was still fun to cheer on our team. The boys really got into it, you can tell that PSU runs through their veins.

Sunday.

Mommyland

Spooky Sprint day. We got up early and froze our behinds off so the boys could run in their Halloween costumes.

Cameron really wanted to run the 5k but after he was finished with the 1k kid’s run he was spent. I told him I’d work with him to train him to get that 5k and he seemed excited. Bill doesn’t think it’s a good idea if I’m his trainer though. I’d love to be able to share my love of running with my boys.

So that’s my week, nothing too spectacular but it’s the little moments that count the most, right?

How was your week? Did you have any fall fun?
