Tasty Tuesday…Meat & Potatoes.

27 Apr

Here’s an easy one for the nights when your inner carnivore is howling for some meat. With only about 40 minutes from start to finish, it’s great for those busy weeknights.

Meat & Potato Skillet

What you will need:
1 pound boneless beef sirloin
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon garlic pepper
1 pound bag of frozen potatoes, carrots, celery and onions (stew vegetables)
1 12oz jar of beef gravy

Directions:
1) Cut beef into thin strips. Heat oil and garlic pepper in a non-stick skillet (I use my wok or French skillet) over medium-high heat. Cook beef in oil, stirring occasionally until brown.

2) Stir in vegetables and gravy; reduce heat to medium. Cover and simmer 7 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender.

Want to try something different? Use chicken breast and chicken gravy instead of beef for a nice variation on this meal.

I’m starting to run out of good recipes, have anything quick and easy for me to try?
