Happy "Moneyday"

6 Sep

I can not believe it’s Monday already. The holiday is going to be messing with me for the rest of the week, I’ll be perpetually confused about what day it actually is.

Anyway, since it is Monday, that means I have a money saving tip for you.

The internet, it’s not just for surfing, it’s for saving.

I belong to more online newsletters than I care to admit, in fact I think I belong to a few more than once. I’m on email lists for companies, products, organizations, fellow bloggers who just troll the web for freebies and high dollar coupons, you name it, I probably get an email about it. It does get a little overwhelming at times, but the amount of money I’ve been able to save is worth it.

The other place to find great deals is facebook; it’s not just for finding old friends and high school sweethearts anymore. Twitter is just as good for finding deals if you follow the right people.

Ok, I get it, you don’t want your inbox being inundated with junk. Get a new one. It’s that easy. With all of the places you can get a free email account, why not get one and check it every couple of days to see what kind of deals have piled up for you?

It’s not just coupons you can find online, there’s some great freebies floating around out there too. I’ve gotten free sticky pads, and folders, lotion, snacks, candy, the list keeps going.

Here you will find a few of my favorite stops for getting the skinny on great deals and freebies:

For The Momma’s
Freebies 4 Mom
Mama Cheaps

Go to the websites for your favorite products and sign up for their newsletters and promotions too, that always brings in some good coupons. Also follow them on facebook and/or Twitter.

With a few minutes of email checking a week you can easily save hundreds of dollars a year buying the things you love.

What’s your money saving tip? Email it to MyLifeInMommyland@me.com so I can try it out and share it with my world!
