Healthy really can taste good.

Last Friday the boys and I were invited to visit Red Mango in Wayne, Pennsylvania to try their frozen yogurt and hear a little bit about the company.

Wayne is a hike from me but the event was put together for a friend and I support my friends. So I journeyed into a town that is on the boarder of too “city” for me and I brought the kids along.

We walked into a bright and beautiful store that was so clean I probably could have eaten off the floor. Owner Jaime was there to greet us and give us directions as to where we could find everything we needed.

After some pizza, which my kids ate a ton of, we got to hear all about Red Mango and what sets it apart from other frozen yogurt shops.

My Life In Mommyland

I had no idea that other frozen yogurt shops made their yogurt from a powder. I’m kind of an ignorance is bliss kind of girl, but now that I know the truth, I’ll be a little more selective with my frozen treats.

I’ve had frozen yogurt before, but NEVER had I had anything that tasted quite like Red Mango. Delicious doesn’t even cover it. It was so creamy and refreshing and the best part is that it’s low in calories and most options are fat free. Tasty and good for my waistline? How is that even possible?

Probiotics are all the rage right now. We all could use a little help with our digestion, right? Well, Red Mango adds probiotics to it’s creamy creations. There really is not a down side to Red Mango.

Once you get your frozen yogurt, head over to the toppings bar. Oh. My. Goodness. I was in topping heaven there. First of all there was EVERYTHING you could imagine, even the kid’s favorite cereals. More importantly, it was immaculate. We were towards the back of the line so you would think it would be a little messy by the time we rolled through. Nope! I think Jaime has some kind of magic, self cleaning toppings bar, there was nothing gross about it. I’ve seen toppings bars that weren’t self-serve look disgusting in comparison.

Logan picked out everything you see above. Honey Badger yogurt (which was AWESOME), rainbow sprinkles, strawberries and yogurt chips (cause who doesn’t like a little yogurt on yogurt action?). When he asked for strawberries I nearly fell over, who is that kid? They were so fresh and tasty looking I guess he just could’t resist.

The boys and I really enjoyed our Red Mango treat. Delicious, healthy, AND something the kids will eat is sometimes hard to come by, but I think we found it here.

On our way out we even got a little swag bag with a shirt, water bottle and a coupon. Talk about generous! Thank you so much to Jaime and her team for inviting us in to try the yogurt and learn a little bit about Red Mango. The boys and I had a wonderful time.

If you’re local and can make it to Wayne on June 23rd, Red Mango is having it’s Grand Opening celebration. There’s FREE yogurt involved! Be there between 10am and 2pm to welcome the FIRST Red Mango to Pennsylvania. Not local? No problem, find a Red Mango near you.

Red Mango in Wayne is so cool that they’re on Facebook and Twitter . Go check them out and say hello.

As we were getting in the car to go home Cameron looked at me with a big smile on his face and said, “You’re the best mom ever, I had SO much fun!”
