A Week In Mommyland (Week 10)

11 Mar

Stop the world, I want to get off! Seriously, why is this year flying by? There are way too many great things happening for time to be going so fast, I want to enjoy these days.

From haircuts to bikes, we had an exciting week here in Mommyland.

Monday.

Mommyland

We started the week with a haircut for Logan. It was LONG overdue! It’s amazing how taking a inch off here and there can make him look so much older. He could totally pass for a Kindergartener.

Now if only I could find the time to get poor Cameron’s hair cut, his head is out of control.

Tuesday.

This week was full of great workouts. I went longer on my runs and made all my yoga classes. I’m only a few runs away from finishing the 10K trainer and then I’m on my own to figure out how to keep going. I’m a little nervous to figure it out but I have a plan and the help of my Women’s Running magazine.

Wednesday.

 Mommyland

This is probably one of my favorite things right now. The boys…all three of them, made this for me while I was at work one night. Cameron and Logan were so excited to show it to me when I got home. Everyday I rip off a page and find a new inspirational quote lovingly decorated by the (little) boys.

I can’t believe that in less than two months I’ll be racing in The Broad Street Run! There’s a person or two in my life trying to downplay it for me but all I have to do is look at this and I know it’s a big fricken deal!

Thursday.

Mommyland

We went out for a little pre-weekend treat at Baskin-Robbins. Logan was watching CNN while he enjoyed his ice cream. Cameron was so tired that he didn’t end up getting a treat so it was just Logan and me on a little ice cream date.

Friday.

Mommyland

We were supposed to get the snow earlier in the week and got nothing. Imagine my surprise when I woke up to snow on Friday morning. I’m hopeful that this is the last we’ll see of the white stuff for the season.

I’m ready for spring, who’s with me?!?

Saturday.

Mommyland

Saturday was a BIG day here in Mommyland. Cameron learned how to ride a two-wheeler and Logan got his first bike.

Within minutes of having his training wheels taken off Cameron was riding his bike like a pro. He’s so proud of himself and he really should be, it’s kind of a big deal. All he wants to do now is ride his bike around the driveway.

Logan was feeling a little left out of the bike action so we went and got him a bike of his own. He’s got the training wheels on but I have no doubt that they’ll be gone by the end of the summer.

The two of them must have rode a hundred miles around the driveway.

Sunday.

Mommyland

This weekend gave us a nice little taste of spring, it’s hard to believe it was snowing just a couple of days ago.

The boys spent all of Sunday riding their bikes around the driveway and Bill and I got in on the action too. I have to say that riding my bike around the backyard kind of makes me want to ride some more. I might have to get my bike tuned up and a find a place the four of us can ride this summer.

It was a fun and exciting week here in Mommyland and the weekend is one I don’t ever want to forget. How was your week?
