A Week In Mommyland (Week 42)

21 Oct

Last week I received a generous care package of Detour bars and I’ve been slowly trying each variety. I decided to take this Blueberry Whole Grain Oatmeal Bar to work with me as a little snack and it was love at first bite!

Every time I think I’ve found a new favorite bar I try a different flavor and am in love all over again.

Stay tuned for a review coming soon.

The light over the fireplace has been broken for years now. It actually wasn’t too long after we moved in when it broke. We’ve been talking about fixing it forever but at about twenty feet off the ground it wasn’t going to be an easy task.

I go to work on Tuesday, I come home and it’s fixed. Bill had the boys in the attic helping him, so I guess it’s a good thing I wasn’t home. By the end of the week I had a dimmer switch on the light and we’ve used it every night.

Ah, Bill was just full of surprises all week long. I come home from running around and there’s music playing…from this little guy.

I like to listen to music while I work, while I do my chores and while I get ready. I had just been using my phone and while it wasn’t perfect it got the job done. I had been eyeing this speaker ever since I heard it at the Bose store and was blown away by the sound quality from something so small.

If you’re looking for a portable bluetooth speaker, I highly recommend the Bose SoundLink Mini.

Every now and again the boys are nice to each other. After the boys had gone to bed I found this on the floor outside Cameron’s room.

Nothing makes me happier than when they are nice to each other and it doesn’t really happen as often as I’d like.

My favorite time of the month, Parent’s Night Out. There are few things better than a free babysitter and one Friday a month we get just that.

For three hours the boys get to play and have fun at the Y and Bill and I get to go enjoy a kid-free evening.

This week we grabbed our favorite spot at the bar at Paradocx Vineyard and enjoyed drinks and dinner. I’m already looking forward to the next one.

This week I was able to get all my regular workouts in. Two days of yoga, and four runs! I’m starting to feel a lot stronger on my runs which makes me happy.

I ran 26.7 miles last week and I hopeful that I can log even more miles in this week.

Nothing like a screaming preschooler to add some excitement to Pasta Sunday.

This is what happens when an overtired Logan wants another whipped cream shot. Yes, that’s whipped cream around his mouth. Not to worry though, there were no real tears, he was just making noise.

This week actually felt kind of nice, I had some resemblance of a routine which is something I’ve been longing for.

How was your week? Anything fun and exciting happen?
