Mommyland Happenings {Volume 7}

22 Feb

This week has worn me down. Sick kid. Frustrations with the hotel we stayed at last week. Busy in the office. The house is in shambles. Trying to get everyone packed for a quick getaway.

I’m beat!

So this happened. It took him over five hours to build, but Cameron built this Lego set all by himself. That’s over 1,300 pieces of pure Lego joy.

For the record I had no idea that Bill was going to buy it for him.

I’m pretty much over winter. This was the view from my office on Monday afternoon. I guess it’s kind of pretty when you see it in the picture but it was a real bummer to look outside and see that, especially on a Monday.

Monday’s snow gave way to this beautiful sky on Tuesday morning. I sat in the office getting some work out of the way and I glanced out to see this.

There’s no filter on this photo by the way, that’s pretty much what it looked like.

I had Logan home sick on Wednesday. He spent most of the day in my bed watching TV with Cooper. Thankfully the bug didn’t last long and he was back to his old self in no time.

I worked out of Starbucks on Thursday morning. Sometimes you just need a change in scenery.

Speaking of a change in scenery, the whole family needed one so we scooped the boys up after school on Friday and headed south to our Maryland retreat. We were only there for 24 hours but it felt nice to get away.

On the way home From Maryland we passed a Krispy Kreme with the red light on. Bill was pulling in before I even knew what was going on. I stayed in the car with Cooper but they went in to see the donuts being made. They came out with a dozen pipping hot donuts.

You haven’t lived until you’ve eaten a glazed donut hot off the line. Mmmmmmm

Thanks for stopping by to take a little peek into my life here in Mommyland, I hope you enjoyed it.

Have a fantastic week, see you next Monday!
