Music soothes the savage Mommy!

How is it only Wednesday? By now it should definitely be Friday; oh well, at least the weather is nice.

I’m sitting here listening to the sound of two napping children, and a cup of tea brewing beneath my Keurig, does life get any better than this?!? Oh, did I mention the sun is shining and it’s so warm out I was actually hot, even though I had a short sleeve shirt on? There is one thing missing, a little background music.

That’s what I wanted to talk about this Wireless Wednesday, music. It’s is said to sooth the savage beast, and truer words have never been spoken. Since I seem to be in a chronically bad mood these days, music has really helped me to remain calm, cool and collected. For those new to my life, I have an iPhone which is where most of my music resides. Yeah, no big surprise coming from me, the all things Apple gal.

I like to have a speaker dock handy where ever I am so I can easily have some tunes to get me through my day. Anyone else like me out there? Back in the day, when I only had an iPod to cart my music around on, we splurged on a Bose Sound Dock. AHHHH, the day’s before children.

Too bad for us, the old Sound Dock doesn’t work with our new iPhones and with two kids to take care of we just can’t justify spending $300 on a new one. We did however find a great and inexpensive system with a pretty amazing sound.

The Logitech Pure-fi Anywhere 2, not only has amazing sound, it’s portable with a 10 hour battery life. It comes with a little remote to make changing the songs and the volume a snap from anywhere in the room. It also comes with a travel bag so you don’t have to worry about scratches and dents when you take it on the go. When you’re using it plugged in, it will even charge your iPhone/iPod. Did I mention the price? I got mine at Target for $129.99, not too shabby.

I keep mine plugged in in my kitchen so when I’m cooking or cleaning I can have some music to keep me going. The kids love to laugh at me as I dance around the kitchen while making them their lunches. Since the Logitech is portable, I bring it up to the second floor if I’m going to be spending some time cleaning or playing up there. I also have been known to take it up to my 3rd floor office on occasion. Now that spring and summer are right around the corner, you better believe that we’ll be bringing that sucker outside for a relaxing evening on the patio.

I have other speaker systems in the house, but the Logitech is by far my favorite. I really think I would be musically lost without it.
